چند ساعتِ پيش پيامي از ايران نژاد بدستم رسيد كه حاويِ خبر درج كردن نامِ خليجِ ع!ر!بي بجاي خليجِ پارسي در برنامه ي گوگل-ارث بود. مي گويند اگر بيش از يك مليون امضا در اين اعتراضنامه جمع شود، شركتِ گردن كلفت كرده ي گوگل زحمت خواهد كشيد و دست كاريَش در تاريخ و بنوعي سبك-سنگين كردنِ اعتراضاتِ ايرانيان و بازي هاي مسخره ي سياسيَش را پايان داده و ما نوچه ها و كاربرانِ ايرانيَش را بنوعي دوباره خوشحال خواهد كرد و كاري خواهد كرد كه دستِ كم تا چند وقتِ ديگر كه دوباره اينكار را از سر خواهد گرفت، آب در دلمان تكان نخورد و چه و چه..
جالب است كه شركتِ نرم افزاريِ گوگل، هفتاد ميليون ايراني را به هيچ جاي خودش هم حساب نمي كند و لينكِ دانلودِ گوگل-ارث را بروي ايرانيان بسته است. از آنطرف هم در كمالِ بي قاعدگي و انگار از سرِ لجبازي ، خليجِ پارسي را مي كند خليجِ ع!ر!بي. آنوقت ما ايراني ها هم دائم آب به آسيابِ اين دشمن مي ريزيم و آنرا ساپورتِ مالي مي كنيم تا مبادا اين شركتِ چند ميليارد دلاري كه نابغه اي همچون بيل گيتس هم از پسش بر نمي ايد، آب در دلش تكان بخورد و خم به ابرويش بيايد. اما به نظرِ من حرام زادگيِ گوگل از اينجا پيداست كه فقط صفحه محصولات را بر ايرانيان بسته و بنوعي جراتِ بَن كردنِ صفحه اصلي براي ايرانيان را ندارد كه البته آنهم علتش معلوم است و جز پولِ حاصل از تبليغات نيست.
از طرفِ ديگر هم ما نفهميديم كه بالاخره عربها خوبند يا بد. اگر خوبند پس چرا خليج ع!ر!بي بد است و اگر بد است پس چرا خانه خريدن در دبي؟ واقعيت اينست كه همين ماها هستيم كه چند بار به دبي رفتن را افتخار مي دانيم و پول هاي بي زبان را مي بريم ، مي ريزيم به صحراهاي بي آب و علف كه آنجا با كلاس است و مشروب هست و خانوم هاي روسِ زيباي سكسي و فلان هست كه در ايران نيست. بله؛ از ديدِ من، ما آدمهايي شديداً چشم و گوش بسته ، شهواني و حيض، فخرفروش، بي سواد و نديد-بديدي هستيم كه هر سياستمداري مي تواند با هويجي كه جلوي چشمهامان آويزان كرده از “بوقِ سگ تا نصبه شب” ، ما را دور دايره ي آسياب بگرداند. عادت داريم در ازاي دريافتِ عيش و طرب، به يكديگر خيانت كنيم و آنقدر آب به آسيابِ اهريمن بريزيم تا غول شود و عرصه را بر زندگاني و هويتِ مادي و معنويمان تنگ كند.
اما از ديگرسو، ما آدمهاي به اصطلاح شهري و مدني شده ،‌آنقدر در روياها و مشكلاتِ خود غرق هستيم كه ديگر جايي براي چنين حركاتِ آوانگارد و “از سرِ سيري” برايمان باقي نمانده است. اما چاره چيست؟ بايد مقاومت كرد، پايدار بود.
بنده كه شخصاً ازين پس از گوگل و هيچگونه از امكاناتِ آن استفاده نخواهم كرد. شما را ديگر نمي دانم كه چگونه مي خواهيد در برابرِ اين غول، مقاومت كنيد .

I want through this letter, protest irresponsible, unscientific actions, and demand an immediate and unconditional deletion of “A!r!a!b?ia!n Gulf” from Google Earth.

Arbitrarily designating the Persian Gulf as the A!r!a!b!ia!n Gulf is an irresponsible violation of all historical and International standards and would undermine the integrity of Google Earth.

For the records, the name Persia has always been used to describe the nation of Iran, its people, and its ancient empires since 600 BC. It is derived from the ancient Greek name for Iran’s maritime province, called Fars or Pars in modern Persian, Pars in Middle Persian and Pârsa in Old Persian, a word meaning “above reproach.” Persis is the Hellenized form of Pars, and through the Latinized word Persia, the other European nations came to use this word for the region. This area was the core of the original Persian Empire.

Since ancient times almost all foreigners referred to the entire country as Persia until March 21, 1935, when Reza Shah Pahlavi formally asked the international community to call the country Iran — a name that the people of Persia, themselves, used to refer to their country since the Sassanian period. “Iran” means “Land of Aryans”. In 1959 some Persian scholars protested to the government that the name change had separated the country from its ancient civilization. Therefore, the late King Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi announced that both Persia and Iran can be used in Western languages.

Without disparaging the Arabs, Iranians are proud of their non-Arab heritage and strongly resent any attempt at denigrating or changing any aspect of their Iranian heritage. And the Persian Gulf occupies a pivotal place in the Iranian history and culture. Furthermore, Iran abuts the Persian Gulf for 2,000 Km, while about a dozen recently-created Arab Sheikhdoms and emirates border the Gulf on the other side.

The historical and geographical name of the Persian Gulf has been endorsed and clarified by the United Nations on many occasions and is in use by the UN, its member states, and all other international agencies worldwide. The last UN Directive confirming the name of the Persian Gulf was (reference ST/CS/SER.A/29/Add.2) on August, 18th 1994.

The worldwide Iranian people are deeply affronted by this arrogant designation of “The Ar-ab-ia-n Gulf.” We demand, in the strongest possible terms, that you take immediate steps to restore the rightful name of the Persian Gulf to the waterway on Google Earth and delete any other arbitrary name. We hope that this notice would suffice and obviates the need for litigation.
